- Dispatch and Delivery
- IMPORTANT: Due to supplier rules to maintain quality of service from retailers we cannot courier bikes supplied by Trek. These bikes must be collected in store. In some cases we may be able to deliver the bike ourselves if you are close enough. Please call or email for delivery options.
Due to the large range of products available on our website, it is inevitable that some items will be temporarily out of stock. However, we will contact you within 48 hours if the delay is likely to exceed 7 working days. No money will be taken from your card until your order is ready to be collected by our courier. We use Royal Mail and Fastway Couriers.
Subject to stock levels, we aim to dispatch Bikes and Frames within 5 working days and Parts orders within 3 working days. We cannot guarantee Next Day Delivery, so please contact us if the order is a gift ordered at late notice or if you are planning to collect your order from our retail shops soon after making the order. If any delay occurs you will be notified immediately. You will be given the option to arrange a convenient delivery date or to cancel the order with a full refund. If an item is not available immediately we will advise you if the delay in shipping will exceed 7 working days from receipt of order.
Extra charges may have to be levied for UK orders, which do not constitute the mainland. E.g. Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, outlying Scottish Islands and some remote northern Scottish addresses. To stay competitive, we charge you the exact cost we are charged by our couriers.
The goods will be delivered to you, the buyer, at the address provided by you on the order form, unless you state in writing an alternative valid address, which is held on our courier’s database.
- Your Warranty to us
- You, the buyer, warrant that all the details provided on the order form for the purpose of purchasing the goods are correct. Also that the Debit/credit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds and/or sufficient unused limit available to cover the cost of the goods. All orders for goods shall be deemed to be an offer by you to purchase goods in accordance with these terms and conditions. You, the buyer, are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the details provided on the order form and we will not be obliged to accept an order unless all requested details requested on the order form have been correctly entered.
- Our Warranty to you
- The details you supply will be stored on computer and used by Bridgtown Cycles. To service your purchase. We may also use your contact details to provide details of future events; company newsletters and other information relating to the sale of our products. We will not share this information with ANY third party. We will also honour any requests to remove your details from our database.
A product warranty will not pass on to a third party should you sell the item in the future. Warranties for parts are based on the manufacturer’s standard guarantee period, which is usually 12 months and is based on normal wear and tear of the product. We may have to wait for the manufacturer to inspect any item before we can authorise the warranty claim.
If you feel you have a warranty claim on the bike frame or forks, you must return (at your own cost) the bike / frame back to examine it. Claims may take up to 14 working days. We recommend that you should keep your bike frame box flat packed for future use. For warranty claims on small items, you need to return the faulty part to us for inspection if you have the necessary skills to remove and refit it Please note that we will not honour the full cost of a warranty claim if a repair is carried out by a third party without our authorisation. Please read the fact sheet on the Sale of Goods Act to find out more about your rights as a consumer.
- Returns
- All items are carefully checked before dispatch. Occasionally items may arrive damaged, defective and we will make every effort to rectify this situation.
We will do our best to ensure that you are fully satisfied with your purchase.
Please check the goods for any defects or discrepancies at the earliest opportunity and please take prompt action as soon as you become aware of any problem. Keep all the packaging material as the Carrier may wish to inspect this. We will arrange to have the item returned at our expense. You will be given the option to have the product replaced at no charge to you or to have a full refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
For goods that are not acceptable for any other reason please notify us within 14 days for a refund or replacement. In all cases you must contact us first in writing AND you are responsible for all costs in returning the goods to us.
